The LEAD Internship is a chance for young adults (age 15-20) to develop themselves while they help develop others in a fast-paced, fun environment. After an application process (spots limited), interns will receive two weeks of high-quality, professional leadership development training and then put that knowledge into practice as they help enact 2nd Mile’s annual Trailblazers Summer Day Camp. This summer’s internship runs from June 1-August 3, 2026.

Past interns have developed job skills, built resumes, and won tens of thousands of dollars in scholarships stemming from their LEAD experience.

LEAD interns earn a stipend, valuable experience, and skills to carry on in life and will use all these for a meaningful summer!

2nd Mile Ministries is a Christian community development non-profit focused on the Brentwood neighborhood just north of downtown Jacksonville. Trailblazers Summer Day Camp is for 5-12 year old students who go through a holistic, leadership development experience with station based learning such as education, dance, music, sports, art, and more.
